Discover the best of the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa on this 15-day journey from Porto back to Porto. Explore Portugal’s charms in Porto, Coimbra, Fátima and Lisbon before crossing into Spain to admire Seville’s flamenco flair, Córdoba’s Mezquita and the Moorish splendour of Granada. Continue through the Costa del Sol to Morocco, where Tangier, Rabat, Fes and the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen await. From historic cities and sun-kissed coasts to ancient medinas and Andalusian palaces, this tour blends culture, history and unforgettable scenery across three vibrant countries.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Porto

    Arrival at Porto Airport and independently transfer to your hotel for check-in.

  • Day 2

    Discovering Porto

    After breakfast, we explore Porto – a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its rich history and striking architecture. Our panoramic tour includes the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building and St Clara Church. We conclude the visit at a local wine cellar to enjoy a tasting of the city’s world-famous Port wine. Accommodation in Porto.

  • Day 3

    From Porto to Lisbon via Coimbra and Fátima

    Porto – Coimbra – Fátima – Lisbon. Breakfast and departure for Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities and the birthplace of traditional fado music. Enjoy free time to explore. We then continue to Fátima, one of the world’s most important pilgrimage centres. You’ll have free time to visit the Basilica and Sanctuary before we proceed to Lisbon, Portugal’s vibrant capital. Accommodation in Lisbon. In the evening, you may choose to attend a traditional fado performance.

  • Day 4

    Exploring Lisbon

    After breakfast, we begin a panoramic tour of Lisbon, beautifully situated at the mouth of the Tagus River. We visit Eduardo VII Park, Rossio Square, Avenida da Liberdade and the Madragoa district – the birthplace of fado.

    We then continue to the Belém district to see the Tower of Belém, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery. The afternoon is at leisure, with an optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril recommended.

  • Day 5

    Crossing into Spain: Lisbon to Seville

    Lisbon – Mérida – Seville. Breakfast and departure towards the Spanish border, arriving in Mérida. Enjoy free time to explore its remarkable archaeological complex, including the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre – both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Lunch at leisure. We then continue along the historic “Silver Route” (Autovía de la Plata) towards Andalusia, arriving in Seville.

  • Day 6

    Sights and Sounds of Seville

    Breakfast followed by a morning city tour of Seville. We visit María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, and admire the exterior of the city’s grand Cathedral and its iconic bell tower, La Giralda. We stroll through the charming Santa Cruz quarter, with its narrow lanes and flower-filled courtyards. Optional activities include a cruise on the Guadalquivir River, offering views of the Torre del Oro and Expo ’92 site, or a visit to the Maestranza bullring. Lunch at leisure. In the evening, you may also attend an optional flamenco show.

  • Day 7

    Córdoba’s Moorish Heritage

    Seville – Córdoba. After breakfast, we depart for Córdoba. Upon arrival, we begin a walking tour starting at Almodóvar Gate, through the atmospheric Jewish Quarter, and visit the magnificent Mosque–Cathedral. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Dinner and accommodation in Córdoba.

  • Day 8

    Through the White Villages to the Costa del Sol

    Córdoba – Ronda – Costa del Sol. Breakfast and departure along the scenic Route of the White Villages to Ronda. Enjoy free time to discover this dramatic hilltop town before we continue to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and accommodation on the Costa del Sol.

  • Day 9

    Ferry to Morocco: Tangier and Rabat

    Costa del Sol – Tangier – Asilah – Rabat. After breakfast, we depart for the port to cross the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry to Tangier, Morocco. Upon arrival, we continue south, stopping for free time and lunch in the charming coastal town of Asilah. In the afternoon, we reach Rabat.

    Please Note:Only one piece of luggage per person is permitted. In Morocco, passengers must clear customs with their own luggage. Passport details are required at least 72 hours prior to departure. The Morocco itinerary may be modified without significant changes to services.

  • Day 10

    Imperial Rabat and Timeless Fes

    Rabat – Fes. Breakfast and visit of Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Highlights include the Hassan Tower – an unfinished 12th-century mosque flanked by more than 200 columns – and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, built in memory of the sultan who secured Morocco’s independence. The royal guard, dressed in traditional ceremonial attire, keeps watch over the monument on horseback. We then continue to Fes, Morocco’s intellectual and spiritual capital. A panoramic tour introduces the Royal Palace with its seven bronze gates, followed by a walk through the labyrinthine medina of Fes el-Bali – a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring over 2,000 narrow streets, 785 mosques and centuries-old artisan workshops. We visit a Medersa (religious school) and end the tour in Es-Seffarine Square, where coppersmiths still work by hand as they have for centuries. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Accommodation in Fes.

  • Day 11

    The Blue Streets of Chefchaouen

    Fes – Chefchaouen – Tangier. Breakfast and departure for Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s most picturesque towns, famous for its blue-washed streets and whitewashed houses.We stroll through its charming alleyways to Outa el Hammam Square before enjoying some free time. Later, we continue to Tangier. Dinner and accommodation in Tangier.

  • Day 12

    Back to Spain and the Costa del Sol

    Tangier – Costa del Sol. Breakfast and a free morning before departure to the port for the ferry crossing back to Spain. Upon arrival, transfer to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and accommodation on the Costa del Sol.

  • Day 13

    The Alhambra and Granada by Night

    Costa del Sol – Granada. After breakfast, we travel to Granada to visit the magnificent Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens, former residence of the Moorish kings, renowned for their elegant courtyards, fountains and arches. Dinner and accommodation in Granada. Optional evening visit to the Sacromonte caves to enjoy a traditional gypsy flamenco show.

    Please Note:If tickets for the Alhambra and Generalife are not available for certain dates, an alternative Granada city tour will be provided, including visits to the Palace of Charles V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, Alcaicería market and Cathedral Square.

  • Day 14

    Toledo’s History and Arrival in Madrid

    Granada – Toledo – Madrid. Breakfast and departure for Toledo, the Imperial City, rich in history and architectural treasures.We enjoy lunch and a panoramic view from the Mirador del Valle, followed by a walk through the medieval old town. We then continue to Madrid. Arrival and accommodation in Madrid.

  • Day 15

    Return to Porto

    Madrid – Salamanca – Porto. After breakfast, we depart for Salamanca, an ancient university city renowned for its golden sandstone buildings and grand Plaza Mayor. Enjoy free time to explore the historic centre before continuing to Porto. Arrival and end of our services.
